Nu Models and Nu Management is created with discovering and nurturing the hidden talents of our models in mind. Realising the need for expansion of our models’ careers, we have established an organisation that plans the career paths of our models that goes beyond modelling.
We aim to groom ordinary people for an extraordinary career.
The management is made up of industry professionals with at least 10 years of working experience in the modelling and entertainment business.
Jane Liong – She started working in a modelling agency in Hong Kong in 1988, where she managed the portfolios of many regionally known models for 11 years, before returning to Singapore where she managed the parent company for another 11 years. In 2008, she completed an Image Consultant course in Australia, and thereafter fulfilled a course as a Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) qualified trainer. In 2010, she assumed the role of as general manager, and resident trainer and consultant in the agency’s academy, a training arm for image courses, as well as a training provider for the Singapore government accredited WSQ courses. She had been assisting in the training, and trainer management, as well as contributing to the course curriculum.
Kit Chng – His experience in the world of fashion started at a young age, as his sister, Ivy Chng, was one of the top models in Singapore and Hong Kong in the 1990s. Working as a freelance events coordinator for a model agency during his university days, he went on to join them full-time after his graduation. In his 10 years in the company, Kit has extensive experience in model and event management. He also manages top Singapore model Sheila Sim, and has also imported other celebrities like Devon Aoki and Tao Okamoto to Singapore. With scouting as part of his portfolio, Kit has travelled to Los Angeles and New York, where he also attended the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) conferences, as well as scouting across 7 cities in Russia.
Sheila Sim – A name that needs no introduction locally and regionally, she has transcended from being “just a model” to fashion designer and owner of her label Sceneplicity, to actress, to television personality, and now, to agency owner and model mentor. Her extensive work experience has spanned more than 10 years and taken her to regional and international fashion capitals like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Milan and Paris. A true chameleon and clotheshorse, Sheila has worked with numerous fashion luminaries. And now, she is ready to impart her industry know-how and tips and tricks to aspiring models and newcomers in the entertainment field.
